About this job:


This Accounting Operations Manager under the guidance of the Accounting Operations lead within the Hungarian affiliate, ensures that financial records are prepared in accordance with all statutory, regulatory and group reporting requirements.

It ensures that there is a strong control environment over the relevant accounting/finance processes and that relevant controls are effective and evidenced.


As an Accounting Operations Manager you will:


  • Drive financial close and preparation of accurate financials working closely with Global Business Services (internal /BPO)
  • Ensure process for collecting relevant information and generating journal requests and supporting documentation is in place (e.g. Prepayments, Accruals, Reclassification); and ensure this is correctly posted by Finance SSC/ BPO.
  • Review and sign-off of various accounts, reconciliations, intercompany recharges and work which is performed by Global Business Services.
  • Support audit activity and preparation of fiscal and statutory reports.
  • Maintain supporting evidence of control operation for audit purposes.
  • Manage tax audits and any transfer pricing related topics.
  • Ensure business processes controls completed by SSC/BPO are operated effectively. Maintain supporting evidence of control operation for audit purposes. Ensure Finance Authorisation rules are effectively applied within the Affiliate.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:


  • 8 years of professional experience in accounting areas.
  • Solid working knowledge of accounting and internal control standards.
  • Solid experience with ERP systems.
  • Experience managing small projects and activities within the office with different stakeholders.
  • Experience providing support to different areas and activities.

Preferred Knowledge/Experience/Qualifications:


  • Experience in Pharma industry.
  • Knowledge of Hungarian legislation.
  • Accounting qualification.

Education/Qualifications:


  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.
  • Fluent in English and Hungarian.
