About this job:

The Associate Director, Commercial Forecasting sits as part of our Global Commercial Insights team. The role will own the creation and maintenance of the commercial forecast models for our key brands and make recommendations to advance the sophistication of sensitivity analytics, predictive analytics, and the assessment of risks and opportunities. In order to forecast deliverables and timelines there is strong collaboration with other functions such as Corporate Strategy, Portfolio Strategy and Finance

Key Activities are noted below:

  • Develop/maintain the tactical and strategic forecasts for priority brands and established products based on inputs from the brand teams and the brand Commercial Insights colleagues
  • Support brand team discussions and quarterly business reviews by clearly articulating current forecast assumptions, risks, uncertainties, and sensitivities.
  • Provide analytics and insights to support Global/ local brand team strategic decision making regarding forecast submissions and investment
  • Establish best practices in forecasting methodologies
  • Recommend and design appropriate analytics to illustrate sensitivities, risks and opportunities within the brand forecasts and provide recommendations on approaches for scenario planning

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Solid experience in commercial insights or forecasting within a Pharma related environment
  • Progressive business experience with emphasis on forecasting, sensitivity analytics, commercial insights, decision sciences
  • Proven leadership skills in guiding and influencing decision makers
  • Solid communication skills, fluent in written and verbal business English; able to articulate the value of data to support commercial activities
  • The ability to work cross culturally and cross functionally in a matrix environment


  • BA or BSc - MBA or other advanced degree useful but not essential
