About This Job:


Astellas is currently hiring Medical Representatives to be based in Egypt across multiple locations. The role reports directly into the District Sales Manager, Egypt.


Purpose of the Position:


  • To achieve the territory sales targets through delivery of agreed activity levels and implementation of product marketing strategies in primary/secondary care.
  • Meet the assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned portfolio and geography.
  • Identify and close on business opportunities through active collaboration with team members.
  • Continuously enhance therapy and market knowledge, sales, and personal skills.
  • Maintain the highest level of pharmaceutical business ethics.
  • Maintain compliance with all appropriate regulatory requirements, applicable guidelines, and SOP’s.
  • Achieve hospital/territory/secondary care sales targets through implementing individual activity considering call rates, coverage and frequency of calling on identified customers etc.
  • Manage the hospital/territory/secondary care meetings and sponsorship budgets on an ongoing basis to ensure budget compliance and return on investment
  • Develop a Hospital/Territory/secondary care Action Plan which clearly outline the activities to be undertaken – working in partnership with colleagues
  • Agree clear and SMART objectives with the line manager and review achievement of objectives regularly and put in place activities as required
  • Take ownership of the region’s contacts with KOLs.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:


  • Minimum 18 months’ experience in a similar role having worked within a Multinational Pharmaceutical organization in the region.
  • Preferably knowledgeable within Urology. Experience in other speciality therapeutic areas relevant to Astellas will also be considered.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing / persuasiveness skills. Fluent in written and verbal business English & Arabic
  • Understand developments at national level and local issues and tailoring local activities to adapt strategy and tactics as appropriate.
  • Ensure all administration tasks are completed and targets are met – VEEVA reporting, expenses etc.
  • Undertake any other appropriate tasks as may arise from time to time e.g., task force participation or being a product champion.
  • Graduate or equivalent professional qualification and/or proven expertise.
