About This Job:

Astellas is currently hiring a National Sales Manager for Oncology to be based in Cairo, Egypt. The role reports directly into the Business Unit Director, Egypt.

Purpose of the Position:

  • To build and execute strategies to meet sales goals for the national territory; to drive area sales performance, market share and optimal resource utilization; to build effective and enduring business relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • To lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team of pharmaceutical Product Specialists; to promote Astellas as a leader in general or specific pharmaceutical areas.
  • Build effective and enduring customer relationships; identifies and works closely with the most significant customers in your area.
  • Lead a high-performing team of Product Specialists; Trains and develops representatives as necessary; provides coaching and feedback aligned to Company Leadership Standards and Sales Functional Competencies; inspires representatives to meet and exceed Sales objectives.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the market environment and customers; communicates customer insights to internal stakeholders and supports development of new business strategies; identifies top business opportunities or gaps through analysis of available reports.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role with a multinational pharma company having managed an Oncology/ Haematology portfolio.
  • Experience with strong customer focus; in multidisciplinary, matrix and cross-cultural settings.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Track-record of leading planning process with excellent organisational and collaboration skills.
  • Coaching and collaboration skills to interact with all levels of personnel to achieve shared goals.
  • Proven ability to influence, (appropriately) challenge and engage diverse senior stakeholders.
  • Fluent in written and verbal business English & Arabic
  • Graduate Major: Life/health sciences (e.g.: pharmacy, biology, chemistry, nursing, medical, etc.)
