About This Job:

As part of our Global HR operations structure, this is a broad role working in collaboration with HR Business Partners across 40+ countries. The role manages a team of 8 HR Project delivery specialists and has responsibility for key projects as part of the year end cycle in addition to headcount management and budgeting. As a growing mid-size Pharma company our HR Operations structure, process, people and systems are still evolving, so overall responsibility will focus on several key areas:

  • Driving a globally consistent approach to Project Management across HR Operations
  • Oversight and monitoring of Global HR Operations Portfolio of Projects, including determining criteria for project support
  • Providing Project Management Expertise for Complex HR Programmes

This role will appeal to those individuals who are solutions oriented (possible with a Consultancy environment) able to work in a growing, developing and changing environment

Key Activities are noted below:

  • Accountability for the establishment and on-going delivery of a portfolio of HR Projects across HR Operations driving excellence to Astellas employees globally
  • Oversight of Global HR Operations projects portfolio (both transformation and continuous improvement initiatives/projects) to support senior stakeholder decision making around priorities
  • Provide professional project management expertise and resource to support complex HR programs/Change initiatives with a significant people or HR process dimension
  • Establish relevant global governance around HR Operations projects portfolio to monitor and track status, risk and support broader demand and resource planning
  • Lead demand and resource planning to determine volume of project requirements against resource capacity and forward planning
  • Contribute to identifying improvements which will increase efficiency, reduce costs and meet overall business objectives
  • Manage the Global HR Operations budget leading the monthly analysis of management accounts, quarterly reforecasting activity and annual budgeting cycles
  • The role will manage HR Operations Headcount reporting and manage the HR Data Cube

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience of working in a Shared Service Centre environment with HR process and transaction experience
  • A background in the development and implementation of a range of continuous improvement projects, including both technology and process
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management Tools and Techniques with the ability to story board activities and solutions
  • Experience of working across a global organisation
  • Able to manage, coach and develop a team with varying capabilities
  • Able to collaborate with a broad cross section of the business and HR colleagues
