About this job

A great opportunity to be responsible for driving sales and key performance indicators in line with agreed Urology and Nephrology brand strategies, and be an expert partner to key customers, with excellent product and broad therapeutic area knowledge, driving development of Astellas business within the accounts to optimise sales, market share and profitability targets across the territory tailored to the specific needs of the Urology and Nephrology therapy areas as the Astellas Key Account Management philosophy (OneKAM).
You will be responsible for creating an unrestricted prescribing environment, giving patient’s access to treatment earlier in local pathways and protocols (Urology/Nephrology) driving product usage in secondary care. In addition to ensuring positive protocols are implemented within the local health economy and developing clinical advocates who will support usage in a first, or, second line position.
The Key Account Manager will review and update market access account plans according to the changing needs of the NHS and the local health economy, as well as overall responsibility for ensuring market access of treatment within allocated accounts via published pathways and protocols.
Accountable for developing implementation plans to commercialise published pathways and protocols.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven Key Account Manager in Urology and/or Nephrology (Renal, Cardio, Chronic Kidney disease, or Anaemia) medicines, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with key HCP’s to drive the Astellas product launch of our new innovative medicine.
  • Previous expertise for end-to-end process including working with Procurement and Finance functions and third parties.
  • Expertise in purchase order initiation, management and processing: ability to track, monitor and report.
  • ABPI certified
  • Strong ability to provide clinical/ technical/scientific related support to HCP’s specialists in their field.
  • ‘Can do’ attitude (Mindset of an Owner) – someone who gets things done – able to work on own as well as in teams. Self-motivated, enthusiastic and energetic.
  • IT competent in the use of email and Microsoft Office e.g. excel based programmes for monitoring sales, budgets, investment return etc. as well as CRM systems

Educations/Qualifications:

  • Life Science/ Scientific Degree (Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Degree)
