About this job:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development and maintenance of excellence in Clinical Quality Assurance activities for Astellas sponsored programs. This position works in partnership with Medical and Development and other business units in support of global and local drug development, registration and marketing for assigned projects across Therapeutic Areas for all stages of drug development.

Amongst the main responsibilities for this role are the following:

  • Serve as the Learning Management System Business Partner for the Quality Assurance Organization in Astellas
  • Ensure Quality Assurance driven learning needs are deployed in the Astellas Learning Management System; this includes procedural training, online courses, instructor led courses, Learning Management System programs.
  • Collaborate with Learning Solutions Team, Learning Management System Operations Support Team and Learning Management System Administrators to ensure successful deployment of online courses within the Learning Management System, including publication of AICC/SCORM compliant eLearning courses, aligned with technical specifications for the Astellas Learning Management System.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance Business and Learning Management System Stakeholders to set up new curricula per role-based training assignments, to reflect the new integrated Quality Assurance organization.
  • Learning Management System Consultant and subject matter expert who advises on Astellas Learning Technology ecosystem and best in class solution to meet the business ask and learning goals.
  • Liaises with Quality Assurance stakeholders on adherence to the global Learning Management System processes.
  • Learning Management System Lead in cross-functional business transformation and process optimization projects to deliver learning to the target learners through an optimal learning experience.
  • Project Lead for Learning Management System Enhancement Projects such as new functionality and/or process optimization.
  • The Learning Management System Operations Manager directs and supervises Functional Service Provider Learning Management System Administrators in daily Learning Management System Operations and ensures timely escalation where needed to resolve system and functional issues.
  • Drive and implement initiatives related to the Quality Control of Learning Management System data.
  • Identify and support Learning Management System related optimization and integration projects within Quality Assurance and multi-divisional project teams to support Learning Management System or other learning technology system implementation, expansion and system life cycle upgrade projects.
  • Ensures compliance and other system reporting to Manufacturing & Distributions functions, as a standard or on request e.g. as part of Management Review process, Corrective And Preventive Action solutions or preparations for inspections;
  • Provide input to the Annual Strategic Plan and execute and operationalize the strategic plan through assigned projects, objectives and deliverables as required.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in science or Information Technology.
  • Significant experience in implementing, managing and supporting a learning management system, including training matrix management in a regulated Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • Experience in Knowledge Management.
  • Experience in managing staff qualification documentation and inspection readiness.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (Good Clinical Practice/ISO/etc) with knowledge of ICH/Good Clinical Practice and Food and Drug Administration regulations.
  • Experience in Project Management; the ability to prioritize and organize a high-volume workflow and follow a project through to completion, ensuring attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
