About this job:

The Global Finance Compliance & Governance function (FC&G) is responsible for supporting Astellas in reaching and maintaining consistently high standards of integrity and compliance (as required by all laws, local regulations & Astellas policies and procedures), through operating as a Second Line of Defence function within Global ERT&T to ensure External Investor confidence.

Purpose & Scope:

  • This position is to provide administrative, analytical, and monitoring support in the Global FC&G function, specifically to the assigned FC&G modules within Global SAP Governance, Risk and Compliance Solution (GRC). This new global system is pivotal to ensure that Astellas can manage and monitor financial statement risk and fraud risk, thereby ensuring financial compliance and governance. The 3 core areas within the Global SAP GRC system this position will provide administrative, analytical and monitoring support in Access Control (AC) provisioning by monitoring high risks access, Process Control (PC) Module including Continuous Control Monitoring (CCM) and Global GRC SOD Ruleset process.
  • This position will support the monitoring of SOD risks by using the GRC solution applicable for Global and all regional affiliates. The monitoring analysis produced will provide some insight into financial compliance areas.
  • This position will assist the Global GRC Lead-Global FC&G to ensure the GRC Solution meets its internal and external audit requirements annually.
  • This position will support the other team members within Global FC&G by monitoring such as Fraud risk, representative letter, Global control owners (GCO), FAR thresholds and assist on the GRC master data validations.
  • This position will work closely with Global IS Compliance and Global SAP Security to assist in the objective of evolving the appropriate processes and governance around GRC Access Provisioning related to access of employees to prime financial systems.
  • This position will work closely with other team members across the global Finance towers, to support the objective of full adoption of the GRC Solution.
  • Other tasks will be managing the Global FC&G Sharepoint, running the central reports needed for specific Internal Controls required by internal and external auditors, managing logistic arrangements for various internal and external meetings, manage PO creation and all other adhoc tasks that arise.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • High exposure and experience in use of GRC Solution i.e. SOD monitoring, Access Provisioning, Process Controls and Master Data Management is strongly desired
  • Great skills in data manipulation and data analysis
  • Adapt with MS Office applications
  • Strong team and partnering behaviours
  • Solid exposure and experience to prime ERP financial systems and tools such as SAP ECC, SAP SRM, SAP S4HANA, Ariba, Concur, Hyperion
  • Solid experience working in a finance function doing month end close, liaising with auditors and good understanding of financial processes

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

  • Japanese language is advantageous


  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, IT or related discipline,
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent certification is desirable,
  • GRC qualification or equivalent is desirable
  • English and local language advanced level in speaking and writing.
