About This Job:

Astellas is currently hiring a Market Access Manager – Saudi Arabia & UAE to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. (KSA National). The role will be reporting operationally into General Manager – Saudi Arabia & UAE and functionally into the Market Access Lead MEA.

Purpose of the Position:

  • To develop, drive and implement local market access strategy across cluster countries for the pipeline and existing portfolio.
  • Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, medical & regulatory to ensure enlisting of Astellas pipeline & strategic brands on formularies, by communicating with key stakeholders/ influencers the value of Astellas and its products to patients & payer.
  • Contribute to the creation of local market access strategies for pipeline and commercialized products to ensure access for patients in the broadest licensed patient populations.
  • Identify opportunities to communicate Astellas products and value messages to external customers through group and face-to-face meetings as required.
  • Drive Brands Market Access Strategy including Development and implementation
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of innovative pricing and tendering strategies, as well as high-quality tendering submissions.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • This role is for Saudi Nationals only.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant experience within market access in the pharmaceutical industry (multinational company)
  • Knowledge and understanding of local pricing and market access issues and needs.
  • Commercial & Medical understanding and sound business knowledge
  • Able to take ownership with pro-active attitude and ability to work independently;
  • Strong presentation & collaborative skills: able to work cross-functionally and with virtual teams
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop and maintain good working relations with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in enlisting medicines into hospitals formularies in public sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
