About This Job:

Astellas is currently hiring a Nephrology Area Manager Saudi & UAE to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role will be reporting directly into the General Manager for the region.

Main Purpose of the Position:

  • To build and execute strategies to meet sales goals for the Countries; to drive Country sales performance, market share and optimal resource utilization; to build effective and enduring business relationships with key Country customers and stakeholders
  • Builds effective and enduring customer relationships; identifies and works closely with the most significant customers in the Country.
  • Leads a high-performing team of Sales Representatives; Trains and develops representatives as necessary; provides coaching and feedback aligned to Company Leadership Standards and Sales Functional Competencies; inspires representatives to meet and exceed Sales objectives.
  • Manages and optimizes effective allocation of resources to deliver required business results.
  • Works within ethical and compliance policies and creates a culture that ensures all reports, direct and indirect, do the same.
  • Responsible for top- and bottom line performance, Mid-year review/appraisals of the team, Financial compliance and first point of contact with local service provider/hosting company

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • This role is for a Saudi National only.
  • Previous experience as Sales Manager with a background in Nephrology in multinational pharma companies.
  • Experience with strong customer focus; in multi-disciplinary, matrix and cross-cultural settings.
  • Credible leader: engages colleagues/team to effectively deliver strategic plan
  • Experience in launching new medications within Saudi Arabia would be preferable.
  • Track-record of leading planning process with excellent organisational and collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to develop and maintain good working relations with internal and external stakeholders. Arabic and English language skills are essential
  • Bachelor’s Degree in pharmacy or other Medical, Life Science field
