About This Job:

The UK affiliate Oncology Sales team have an exciting position for an experienced Oncology Key Account Manager to join the successful field team, covering London & South Coast for a 12 month Fixed term contract position. This is an opportunity for an individual to share Astellas Oncology products with their Oncology customers within a highly experienced and supportive team. Ideally, we are seeking someone that can embrace change, has good collaboration skills, and provide specialist expertise for continuous improvement.

You will be responsible for driving sales and key performance indicators in line with agreed Oncology and Haematology brand strategies, and be an expert partner to key customers, with excellent product and broad therapeutic area knowledge, driving development of Astellas Oncology/Haematology business within the accounts to optimise sales, market share and profitability targets across the territory tailored to the specific needs of the different Oncology and Haematology therapy areas as the Astellas Key Account Management philosophy (OneKAM).

Specifically, you will:

  • Responsible for enabling all eligible patients to be treated by Astellas therapeutic options
  • Responsible for the development of Astellas Oncology/Haematology business within the accounts, driving and optimising sales, market share and other relevant local targets
  • Have a deep understanding of the patient journey. Build awareness and sensitivity of the patient condition and issues in order to demonstrate a focus on patient care and outcomes
  • Ensure seamless patient access at account level
  • Provide in-label education to stakeholders (including technical aspects of therapeutic area, products and diagnostics)
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with HCPs, prioritising those that are most critical to Astellas; continually improving levels of customer service and outcomes, whilst optimising awareness and reputation of Astellas and brands within
  • Plan, implement and optimize outcomes based on a deep understanding of account infrastructure, relationships of all relevant stakeholders in accounts, their importance and influence networks
  • Gather and analyse relevant customer, account and territory information to help formulate tailored, high quality plans to prioritise resources, and deliver the best results for Astellas
  • Develop specific, tailored and cross-functional plans for accounts and customers so that actions are planned and risks managed

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven Key Account Management skills with demonstrable success in exceeding business goals
  • Oncology and/or Malignant Haematology Key Account Management experience
  • Previous experience working with diagnostics within the cancer arena is preferred
  • Demonstrable ability to work with complex clinical data sets
  • Demonstrable ability to build strong lasting relationships with all customer group and links within
  • Experience of multi-disciplinary/matrix working for optimal outcomes for patients, the NHS and the business
  • Experience developing and nurturing customers within the territory
  • ABPI.

  • Life Sciences Degree
