About This Job

The dedicated Senior Brand Manager for the Oncology Franchise in Ireland will strengthen customer relationship’s to understand Customer needs and drive sales, and improve marketing effectiveness by gathering insights on the impact and effectiveness of marketing tactics and strategy.  The incumbent will be responsible for local tactical plan execution for brands in the Oncology Therapy area and manage Marketing efforts to a target audience including but not limited to Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Urologists and their other relevant hospital staff.

Leading both long term and short-term agreed business objectives, including sales and profitability targets through the implementation and evaluation of brand specific marketing plan.

Specifically, you will


  • Support the production of robust brand specific marketing plans and forecasting activity, which deliver sales and profitability targets.
  • Execute and operationalise the approved Tactical Brand Plans within approved budgets. Responsible for driving the overall Brand Plan and operational activities within approved budgets.
  • Monitor and critically review implementation of tactical plans for assigned brand(s) against key performance indicators taking corrective action as required.
  • Drive local Customer initiatives (e.g. international and national meetings/symposia, public relations, internal communications, medical education etc.) to maximise product sales potential.
  • Direct, co-ordinate and attend congress activities in collaboration with external agencies and wider Brand Team
  • Develop, source, ensure fulfilment of appropriate low complexity branding/support materials within agreed timelines and budgetary parameter, and complete the review, localisation and approval of materials provided by the Affiliate Hub.
  • Deliver professional management of media engagement in the markets through all channels: online, digital, traditional and new media.
  • Ensure that the appropriate local teams review promotional materials and comply with the relevant regulations.


  • Contribute to the overall local strategy plans for the establishment of the Oncology franchise in APCL.
  • Plan the Initiation, control and evaluation of activities in pre-launch, launch and post launch phase


  • Define customer segments and targets for Oncology TA.
  • Gather qualitative customer insights from sales representatives, which can be used to drive innovation and improvements in marketing and sales effectiveness.
  • Internal Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate within the Brand Teams across Medical, marketing and sales to ensure cross functional, local insights are incorporated in strategy, tactical plans, implementation approach etc. and all full functions remain aligned throughout the annual brand cycle and product lifecycle.
  • Work in cross-functional team to contribute to pricing and reimbursement discussions
  • Engage in close and continual collaboration with above country team

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Oncology TA experience (ideally prostate, gastric/bladder cancer)
  • In-depth knowledge of the brand, the competitors and the market place.
  • Product launch experience
  • People skills, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good standard of oral and written communication.
  • Knowledge of local health authority policies, structures and processes.
  • Sound understanding of clinical and market information pertinent to relevant therapy area is desirable.
  • Good level of planning and time management skills and evidence of competence in job related areas such as launch excellence.
  • Ability to influence and work in a collaborative way, and communicate effectively within the organisation to ensure the alignment of the local and EST-C teams
  • Ability to interpret market data and clinical outcomes and link to commercial opportunities
  • Understanding of local market access environment.
  • Computer literacy.


  • Degree in a health-related subject, Marketing, Business or equivalent qualification
