About This Job:

Astellas is currently hiring a District Manager to be based in Giza, Egypt. The role will be reporting directly into the Business Unit Director, Egypt.

Purpose of the Position:

  • To build and execute strategies to meet sales goals for the area; to drive area sales performance, market share and optimal resource utilization; to build effective and enduring business relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • To lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team of pharmaceutical Sales Representatives; to promote Astellas as a leader in general or specific pharmaceutical areas.
  • To apply brand strategies to develop and implement area business plans.
  • Build effective and enduring customer relationships; identifies and works closely with the most significant customers in your area & manage and optimize effective allocation of resources to deliver required business results.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the market environment and customers; communicates customer insights to internal stakeholders and supports development of new business strategies; identifies top business opportunities or gaps through analysis of available reports.
  • Serve as a communication bridge from Senior Management to Sales Representatives.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Previous experience as FLSM in other multinational pharma companies (Area Manager/District Manager or similar position)
  • Preferably knowledgeable within Urology. Experience in other speciality therapeutic areas relevant to Astellas will also be considered.
  • Demonstrable examples of leadership, ability to develop, coach and enable high performance teams and proactively promote best practice and knowledge sharing.
  • Experience with strong customer focus; in multidisciplinary, matrix and cross-cultural setting.
  • Proven ability to influence, (appropriately) challenge and engage diverse senior stakeholders.
  • Graduate or equivalent professional qualification and/or proven expertise.
