The Opportunity:

As Brand Manager Oncology at Astellas Pharma, you will lead the strategic and operational execution of our brand in the local market. Your role will ensure alignment with the EMEA strategy while maximizing both business outcomes and patient impact. You will oversee the entire brand lifecycle -  from insight generation to performance delivery - guiding cross-functional teams and engaging key stakeholders to drive market success.

You will be part of an inclusive team that works to develop innovative therapies for patients.

Key Activities for this role:

  • Generate and synthesize insights, opportunities, risks, and needs from the local market.
  • Contribute to the cross-functional co-creation of the rolling three-year brand plan.
  • Localize and implement the operational Brand Plan in alignment with EMEA strategies.
  • Build and manage relationships with key local customers and KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders).
  • Lead the local cross-functional brand team to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in brand management within oncology or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of industry dynamics and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in interpreting data and leveraging insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Fluent in spoken and written business English; proficiency in a second European language is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • Desirable experience in gastric cancer within a pharmaceutical environment.

Educations/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, or equivalent.

Additional Information:

  • This is a permanent, full-time position.
  • Location: Milan, Italy.
  • This position follows our hybrid working model. The role requires a blend of home and minimum 2-3 days per week in our local office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
