Location and Working Environment
This position is hybrid and will require you to be onsite 2 days per week in ISTANBUL, TURKEY office.

Purpose & Scope
- As the Ethics & Compliance (“E & C”) Affiliate Business Partner for T-MEA, you will serve as the senior compliance officer for the affiliate and provide or oversee the provision of compliance support related to protecting and advancing the compliance and risk-mitigation interests of Astellas in T-MEA.
- This is a senior level position in the Company which has oversight and responsibility for the Compliance function of the organization in T-MEA. In this position, you will report into the Lead E & C Affiliate Business Partner, International Markets and have atleast 1 direct report.
Role and Responsibilities
- Implement Astellas Global or Regional policies, risk mitigation and compliance initiatives locally in T-MEA and, as needed for relevant country distributors.
- Develop and implement an Annual Compliance Plan, which includes an annual risk assessment, training plan, monitoring plan, and coordination with Internal Audit on an auditing plan.
- Identify and respond to compliance inquiries and provide advice and solutions to internal clients in accordance with the Company’s high ethical and compliance standards.
- Oversee and manage the Company’s compliance investigation and monitoring activities and provide local audit support.
- Develop and conduct compliance risk assessments to identify, assess and prioritize principal potential compliance risk within the Company. Such legal/compliance risk assessments shall be in coordination and collaboration with relevant Regional and Global E & C members
- Review and approve co-funded events and activities with the Business Partners in the distributor markets.
Required Qualifications
- Substantial experience at an affiliate level within a legal or compliance role ideally with a global pharma organization.
- Excellent leadership skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leadership throughout the organization and on a global basis.
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated leadership and analytical skills, good strategic focus, and a demonstrated record of cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and effectively collaborate with multiple functional units and clients at the senior level.
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, teaching and coaching skills. Ability to effectively communicate compliance issues verbally and in writing in a clear and understandable manner.
- Availability to travel domestically and internationally
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- A law degree from an accredited university or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive, exercise independent judgment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative global environment.
- Good working knowledge of Arabic is highly regarded but not required
