The Opportunity:

As the Global Lead ABAC & DRM - Risk Program Excellence, you will provide subject matter expertise for Mature Risks e.g., Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption (ABAC) including Distributor Risk Management (DRM) and Healthcare Compliance (HCC), in support of the Ethics & Compliance Program development and Business Partner operations.

You will develop, continuously improve and govern the implementation of a portfolio of the elements of an effective Ethics & Compliance Program. You will ensure that Astellas is operating in line with internal and external (e.g., Regulator) requirements/expectations.

In this role, you will undertake assigned Global Excellence & Transformation (GET) activities e.g., strategy development, process operations and optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and maintaining tools and processes that enable an effective Ethics & Compliance Program. The focus will be ABAC & DRM including ABAC risk management – proactive identification of risk areas, minimum controls framework and program enhancements.
  • Providing leadership on the ABAC risk forum
  • Reporting on ABAC effectiveness and providing metrics
  • Driving continuous improvement and providing high-risk third-party risk management framework with training and support to business partners on DRM model, insights, and feedback
  • Strengthening ABAC framework in collaboration with Finance/interlinkage to fraud risk
  • Maintaining an awareness of external stakeholder expectations and industry trends to continue the Ethics & Compliance Program.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Demonstrable ability to identify opportunities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Ethics & Compliance Program.
  • Experienced within a regulatory area (e.g., compliance, finance, quality) within the life sciences industry
  • Demonstrable experience working with subject matter experts to ensure that the Ethics & Compliance Program is appropriately integrated.

Preferred Experience:

  • Collaborated with colleagues who have responsibility for other elements of the Ethics & Compliance Program.
  • Demonstrable experience in people leadership and working globally.
  • Expertise in compliance with law, regulations, and industry codes relevant to a highly regulated industry. Knowledge of best practices relating to compliance in highly regulated industries.
  • Demonstrable program and project management expertise.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
