About this role:

Embark on a transformative leadership journey as the Business Unit Director at Astellas Pharmaceuticals in Istanbul, Turkey. In this influential role, you will take the helm of the Oncology & Hematology Business Unit, guiding its strategic vision and becoming an integral part of the Astellas Turkey Leadership Team. As Business Unit Director, you will assume leadership of the Oncology & Hematology Business Unit and be part of Astellas Turkey Leadership Team. Your pivotal role involves crafting a strategic roadmap that aligns with Astellas' global vision, identifying market opportunities, fostering vital partnerships, and leading high-performing teams to meet ambitious targets. Your proven leadership skills, deep pharmaceutical industry knowledge, and a proactive mindset will be invaluable assets as you lead the charge for healthcare excellence. In this role, you will:

  • Develop a comprehensive strategic roadmap for the business unit that aligns with regional and global Astellas vision.
  • Identify market opportunities and localization needs to align with unique market conditions of the country
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to drive success
  • Lead commercial teams fostering a positive work environment and inspiring teams to achieve ambitious targets

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing managers and leading big teams in sales and marketing functions
  • Business Acumen and strong understanding of pharma industry
  • Positive and self-starting mindset
  • Solid leadership experience in pharma industry
  • Fluent in written and verbal business English

Preferred Experience:

  • Willingness to enhance personal selling and communication skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Additional information:

  • This is a permanent full-time position
  • Position is based in Istanbul, Turkey.
  • This position follows our hybrid working model. Role requires a flexible blend of home and office work in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
