The Opportunity:
As an Insights & Capability Lead, you will play a critical role in enabling global procurement teams to deliver maximum value to the business. This high-impact role combines procurement expertise, data-driven insights, policy stewardship, and agile capability building to ensure the function remains future-fit and outcome-driven.
Working as part of the Procurement Foundations team, you will collaborate closely with global category teams, the Source-to-Pay (S2P) Pod in Global Business Solutions (GBS), and other enterprise partners. Your responsibilities will span across data analysis, functional capability uplift, agile ways of working, and procurement governance to support enterprise-wide priorities including cost, cash, carbon, and innovation.

Key Activities for this role:
- Generate actionable insights by interpreting procurement and external market data to challenge and support category strategy execution.
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of procurement policies and governance frameworks in collaboration with GBS and other stakeholders.
- Partner with category teams to track OKRs and maturity of strategies, offering data-driven recommendations that align with enterprise goals.
- Design and deliver targeted capability-building programs, including the Astellas Procurement Academy, to strengthen functional skills and leadership behaviours.
- Embed agile methodologies across the function through training, coaching, and facilitation of agile routines (e.g., stand-ups, retrospectives, planning).
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Proven experience in procurement, procurement enablement, transformation, or insights roles in a global or matrixed organization.
- Strong ability to extract and interpret data using tools like Power BI, Excel, or Tableau to influence strategic decisions and performance outcomes.
- Demonstrated success in driving functional capability development and embedding continuous improvement practices.
- Hands-on experience with agile ways of working, including facilitating agile ceremonies and coaching cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work across functions, influence senior stakeholders, and align priorities with business needs and enterprise strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) or professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM or equivalent.
- Familiarity with procurement platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa) and experience working with GBS or Shared Services teams.
- Experience using Generative AI or advanced analytics in procurement to identify trends and inform strategy.
- Agile coaching certification or significant experience leading agile adoption across functions.
- Background in policy governance and compliance frameworks in global procurement settings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or equivalent.
- Deep analytical and storytelling capabilities with a strong focus on measurable business outcomes.
- Proficiency in digital tools and data platforms (e.g., Power BI, Excel, Tableau).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across global and regional teams.
- Passion for transformation, innovation, and enabling high-performing procurement functions.

- This is a permanent, full-time position.
- This position is based in Warsaw (Poland)
- This is a permanent role based in our Global Capability Centre in Warsaw, Poland and hybrid working with the expectation for some office presence. Flexibility may be required in line with business need. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office
