About This Job:

In this position you will design and implement local account plans by effectively promoting the Oncology portfolio within a defined territory to clinicians, influencers and relevant office-based physicians in order to deliver and exceed territory business objectives (sales and projects). Additionally, you will represent and differentiate clinical products in genito-urinary oncology as well as represent Astellas to enhance performance and promote longer term partnership with customers e.g. prescribers, financial influencers, prescribing influencers, medical management influencers and others who affect the Oncology business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implementation of local account plans by effectively promoting the Oncology portfolio within a defined territory to deliver and exceed territory business objectives (sales and projects)
  • Lead generation and execution in collaboration with OPEX and usage of the client relationship management (CRM) system
  • Planning and execution of physical and virtual promotional events, and support the events through the company
  • Remain up to date with changes in the healthcare system, both nationally and locally to ensure that account plans are developed in line with customer needs.
  • Continuous improvement of the personnel distribution practice with training, usage of digital tools and the newest information about market trends, needs and regulations

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Former working experience in pharmaceutical industry as sales representative in specialty area and experience selling into hospitals
  • Sound understanding of hospital buying/procurement processes
  • Previous Key Account Manager experience
  • Proficiency in German and English

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Previous experience selling products in Oncology
  • Higher education in pharmacology, life science or medicine or equivalent
  • Knowledge of French is a plus

Educations/Qualifications:

  • Solid basic education (e.g. commercial apprenticeship) or equivalent

  • This position is field based in Central Switzerland (BE, SO, BS, BL, UR, NW, OW, SZ, LU, AG), and up to 100% travel is expected in line with your role.
