Location and Working Environment
This position is a field-based opportunity in the French-speaking or Italian-speaking part of Switzerland.

Purpose & Scope
As Key Account Manager Oncology, you will manage complex accounts, develop stakeholder relationships, and seek growth opportunities that align with Astellas' goals. This position requires strong industry knowledge, particularly in oncology, immunology, or rare diseases.
Role and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare professionals, hospital networks, and key stakeholders within assigned accounts.
- Formulate and implement comprehensive, territory-specific account strategies informed by an in-depth knowledge of the local oncology landscape, with a focus on gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, and other internal teams to align efforts and maximize impact.
- Drive educational initiatives, in-service trainings, and product presentations to support appropriate product use and improved patient outcomes.
- Maintain a strong understanding of local market dynamics, treatment pathways, and patient journeys.
- Analyze account data and key performance indicators to identify opportunities, gaps, and required actions.
- Ensure activities comply with relevant company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
- Substantial experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in oncology, immunology, rare diseases or similar therapeutic areas.
- Proven experience in key account management, with ownership of a defined territory.
- Strong understanding of account ecosystems, including clinical decision-making processes, hospital formularies, procurement, and pathway management.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder networks, including key opinion leaders, oncologists, pharmacists, and payers.
- Fluent French and Italian plus ideally English and German language skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, business, or a related field, or equivalent.
- Previous experience of selling products in Oncology
- Experience in gastrointestinal and genitourinary oncology is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated success in launching products or driving uptake in specialized therapeutic areas.
- Previous Key Account Manager experience
- High level of scientific acumen, strategic thinking, and commercial drive.
