The Opportunity:

As the Lead, E&C Intelligent Global Risk Monitoring you will be responsible for delivering Global, Regional and Local Insights from monitoring across the E&C risk domains. This position is a Senior Manager role and will report into the Head, E&C Program Assurance in the continuous improvement to achieve operational excellence of Ethics & Compliance Program Assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of dashboards to detect global, regional and local trends and themes and areas of risk from SAP, SAP AR, VEM, echo and Concur transactions.
  • Preparing and/or reviewing reports of key insights and themes from monitoring and dashboards and leading review of results with Head, E&C Assurance Program, Internal Audit, Finance Compliance and Audit and E&C leadership as identified.
  • Support the tracking and management of issues identified through monitoring as required
  • Driving operational excellence through continuous improvement to ensure that the Company follows best practices in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Identifying emerging risk across E&C risk domains to deploy IGRM.
  • Other Ethics & Compliance initiatives deemed necessary to further enhance Astellas’ commitment to the Ethics and Compliance Program (including project leader role for certain specific areas).

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven knowledge and experience with compliance with law, regulations and industry codes relevant to the pharmaceutical industry or financial background within pharma.
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical skills. Ability to interpret data, rules and guidelines, and ability to conceptualize policies, procedures and controls.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound and independent judgment, prudence and maturity in complex and sensitive cases. Leadership skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively / influence without authority throughout the organization and on a global basis.
  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work.
  • Strong drafting and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal)

Preferred Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal, communication & collaboration skills working cross-functionally within matrix structures
  • A strong commitment to integrity and professionalism and a commitment to excellence
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural regional and global environment.
  • An established career in the pharmaceutical industry in a compliance, finance or legal role

Education:

  • Degree in law, business administration, corporate governance, compliance or other related fields

Additional information:

  • This is a permanent role based in our Global Capability Centre in Warsaw, Poland and hybrid working with the expectation for some office presence. Flexibility may be required in line with business need. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office
