Location and Working Environment

This position is hybrid and will require you to be onsite 2 days per week in our Addlestone office.

Given the nature of the role there will need to be a moderate amount of international travel.

Purpose & Scope

  • The Global Market Access & Pricing (GMAx&P) Lead for Strategic Brands (Ophthalmology) drives the worldwide market access and pricing strategy for in geographic atrophy caused by age‑related macular degeneration. As they move toward launch, the role will also expand to include this investigational GA cell therapy. Serving as the central link between the GMAP team, cross‑functional partners, and co‑creation markets, the GMAx&P Lead owns the development, rollout, and implementation of global Market Access and Pricing strategies—including life cycle management—across all relevant markets.
  • The role requires close collaboration with AMT, GCT, and in‑scope markets to support pricing and reimbursement efforts. By translating complex payer requirements into a compelling payer value proposition and tailored access strategies, the GMAx&P Lead ensures each asset reaches its full value potential and contributes to Global Brand Scorecard success.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the Global Market Access & Pricing Brand Strategy, guiding a multi‑disciplinary Value Access Strategy Team to create a best‑in‑class value position and deliver tailored, innovative payer solutions.
  • Represent the Global Market Access and VAST perspective within the AMT and GCT, shaping commercialisation and evidence‑generation strategies to maximise brand value in line with pricing and reimbursement realities.
  • Drive innovative pricing and reimbursement strategies using value‑based approaches that capture full product value and strengthen commercial positioning for new indications.
  • Generate deep payer insights and assess market dynamics to inform access and pricing strategies that support Global Brand Scorecard objectives.
  • Develop the global value story and value dossier, identifying evidence needs and partnering with Medical Affairs, Value Evidence, Clinical Development, and Statistics to build robust supporting data.

  • Drive seamless collaboration across teams and regions—horizontally, vertically, and virtually—sharing best practices to elevate and sustain Brand MAx performance.
  • Build strong relationships across co‑creation and in‑scope markets to gain deep insights into local access dynamics and payer considerations.
  • Partner closely with Medical Affairs, Value Evidence, Commercial, and Development teams at Global, Area, and Affiliate levels to deliver the integrated Evidence Generation Plan and Market Access Strategy, ensuring alignment with the Global Brand Plan and customer‑focused value plans.
  • Lead the Value Access Strategy Team (VAST) and represent GMAx and VAST perspectives within the Asset Maximisation Team (AMT) and Global Co‑creation Team (GCT).
  • Directly oversee relationships with co‑creation and affiliate Market Access teams, ensuring strong alignment and impactful execution.
  • Proactively identify collaboration opportunities and strengthen cross‑functional partnerships—especially with Value Evidence—to enhance market access effectiveness.
  • Ensure all Market Access activities meet regulatory, policy, and corporate compliance standards.
  • Contribute flexibly to additional responsibilities as needed to support the evolving needs of the business.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Prior global experience in a global pharmaceutical company
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical business experience which may include:
  • Health Outcomes, Access and pricing, marketing, finance or related experience
  • Market Access, Reimbursement or HEOR experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a proven track record of strategy development and execution.
  • Deep knowledge / scientific background on the assigned products/TA.
  • Experience working in global position and working across regional organisations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-graduate qualification such as MBA and/or MSc or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Other languages a plus, ideally of key markets
  • Experience in working effectively across diverse cultures with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and convey technical information, including complex policy and reimbursement information in business relevant language to diverse audiences.
