Purpose & Scope
• This is an exciting time to become part of a newly established team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping and developing the function, taking ownership of impactful scientific content, and driving excellence across the organization.
• Leveraging your expertise and experience, you will not only deliver high-quality outputs but also provide mentorship and guidance to colleagues, supporting their growth and strengthening cross-functional collaboration.
Role and Responsibilities
• Lead the creation of evidence disclosures, including congress abstracts and manuscripts, ensuring timely publication of Astellas-generated data.
• Utilise AI tools to draft and refine scientific content, achieving the highest standards of medical accuracy.
• Develop global templates for healthcare professional engagement, supporting omnichannel strategies.
• Mentor junior content creators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Ensure all scientific content aligns with Astellas’ brand strategy and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
• Extensive experience from within Medical Affairs or Medical Communications, with a strong background in Medical Writing.
• Proven ability to translate complex scientific concepts into compelling narratives and visuals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• In-depth knowledge of clinical design and drug development processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with effective interpersonal abilities.
• Able to leverage expertise to guide colleagues without formal line management responsibility and influence cross-functional stakeholders
• MSc in a life science or healthcare-related field or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• PhD, PharmD, or MD is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and digital tools.
• Experience in mentoring or people leadership.
