The Opportunity:
As the Medical Affairs (MA) Innovation Capability Enablement Lead, you will develop and enable the Medical Affairs (MA) Digital Strategic plan that encompasses all digital capabilities and channels across MA, globally. You will lead strategy, implementation and operation of MA digital capabilities and channels, working in partnership with MA Operational Excellence and all related stakeholders, i.e., Regional MA Operations, Core Medical Teams (CMTs), Medical Communications, Commercial, M&D Functions and relevant support functions (DigitalX, E&C, Legal, Finance).
Leveraging your expertise, you’ll execute the Medical Affairs Digital Technology Strategic plan, its agreement and implementation. Additionally, you will oversee and manage system/platform maintenance and their evolution to ensure that solutions continue to create significant business value across countries, regions, and MA globally.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and support evolution and management of Medical Affairs Digital capabilities including, but not limited to, IMPACT (MA Sponsored Studies), AERO (Investigator Sponsored Research), MAGP (Grants), GPMS (Publications), AGILE-MI (Medical Information), Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Core Medical Plan (CMP) Tactics and related tools, MA Community SharePoint, MA Websites, Medical Affairs Informatics, Medical Education, Advisory Boards, Symposium, etc.
- Manage and lead initiatives aligned with agile methodology that promote the ongoing evolution and management of Medical Affairs digital capabilities based on stakeholder needs, feedback, technology, emerging trends, industry practices and data privacy/legal requirements. Keeps stakeholders informed of important changes in each of their respective areas while driving projects within the MA Innovation Capability Enablement portfolio and roadmap.
- Champion MA digital innovation and capabilities within the organization to heighten awareness and position the function as a key business resource by establishing credibility and integrity with key stakeholders.
- Facilitate strategic storytelling and strong collaboration across departments to develop and define customer-centric digital strategy and drive customer engagement.
- Responsible for leading and/or participating in operational process reengineering related to digital repositories/channels.
- Partner with DigitalX and Commercial to assure the best technology and methods are implemented to manage information consistent with digital governance and standards. In conjunction with DigitalX, performs strategic analysis of business needs and proposed technology solutions for new systems and decommissioning of systems
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Demonstrated knowledge of tools used by pharmaceutical industry to support collection of business operations data, such as CTMS, Veeva CRM, Salesforce, Adobe, Planisware, SharePoint, etc.
- Strong track record of working in an agile methodology.
- Demonstrated planning and organization skills, attention to detail, execution, and follow-through.
- Proven Change Management mindset and the ability to lead teams through change.
- Effective management skills, including the ability to effectively motivate and manage cross- functional teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills; ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.
- Fluent in written and spoken business English.
Preferred Knowledge & Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral level degree in life sciences and/or data sciences.
- Strong understanding of generative AI technologies and their underlying mechanisms around prompt engineering.
- Work experience across multiple cultures and countries / regions is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with functional leaders and negotiate solutions in a matrix environment.
- Effective management skills, including the ability to effectively motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience in leveraging Next Best Action/Next Best Engagement capabilities.
Educations/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Additional information:
- This is a permanent, full-time position.
- This position is based in Addlestone, United Kingdom.
- May require up to 10% international travel.
- This position follows our hybrid working model. Role requires a blend of home and a minimum of 1 day per week in our local office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
