Location and Working Environment
- This position is field based in Italy, with approximately 80% travel within the assigned territory with frequent overnight stays is required.

Purpose & Scope
- As a Medical Scientific Liaison, you act as a trusted advisor for scientific exchange with Key External Experts (KEEs) and stakeholders throughout the product life cycle.
- You are responsible for gathering field-based data that generates meaningful medical insights.
- You collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, both within and outside of Medical Affairs.
- You execute the tactical field plans for engaging with the medical and scientific community for a given product.
Role and Responsibilities
- Engage in scientific exchange by sharing knowledge on products, diseases, and therapeutic areas to support the safe and effective use of Astellas products.
- Discuss evolving trends
- Interact with external stakeholders in both one on one and group settings, demonstrating strong scientific and clinical expertise and an understanding of their needs.
- Maintain up to date medical and scientific knowledge to enable credible, peer to peer scientific exchange.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, supported by knowledge of the local healthcare environment and its dynamics.
- Support Medical Education activities and proactively identify future stakeholders (e.g., KEEs, nurses, pharmacists) in alignment with the local healthcare system.
Required Qualifications
- Master Degree in Health Related Science or equivalent.
