About This Job:

As a Medical Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the medical strategy (Core Medical Plan) in the designated therapeutic area at the affiliate level. In this role, you will translate insights into strategies and activities. Your primary objective should be to ensure information needs of key stakeholders are fulfilled, ultimately contributing to the safe and appropriate use of Astellas products.

Key Activities:

  • The 2nd level interface of medical affairs with Key External Experts and Healthcare Organizations.
  • Endorse company science-driven partnership and collaboration with medical communities and academic institutions in the country.
  • Oversee /support country Core Medical Plan (CMP) execution and ensure implementation of MA strategies in line with MEA/ International Markets regional medical strategies
  • Participate in MA strategies development based on country needs and dynamics.
  • Contribute actively to the Astellas clinical development program with the execution of clinical studies at the best possible quality, speed, and costs according to GCP and Astellas global standards
  • Work in a multidisciplinary internal team to give Astellas products the best possible medical support.
  • Supporting/assisting preparation of scientific presentations, dossiers, letters, etc. on Astellas products to internal and external stakeholders as required.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven experience within the medical affairs department
  • Knowledgeable of the therapeutic areas relevant to Astellas. Previous Oncology experience is a plus.
  • Scientifically credible, persuasive, and able to integrate complex medical scientific information.
  • Able to take ownership with a proactive attitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English and Arabic

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Profound knowledge in medical compliance and feed-in new related local regulations/requirements
  • Knowledge to review and approve country promotional and non-promotional materials.

Educations/Qualifications:

  • Medically qualified personnel (MD, PharmD, or master’s in science or equivalent). Medical doctor is an asset.

Additional information:

  • This is a permanent, full-time position.
  • The position is based in Cairo, Egypt.
  • Candidates should be based in Egypt.
  • This position follows our hybrid working model. Role is a blend of home and a minimum of 2-3 days in our Cairo office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
