Location and Working Environment 

This Medical Manager, Specialty MA-France position is hybrid and will require you to be onsite minimum 2 days per week in Levallois-Perret, France office. This is an individual contributor position. 

Working Hours

This is a full-time & 6 months fixed-term contract.

Purpose & Scope 

  • This Medical Manager, MA-France role is an individual contributor position with responsibility for driving medical strategy and execution within Women´s Health therapy area. The role does not include direct line management responsibilities but requires strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills. 
  • As a Medical Manager, MA-France, France, you will drive the implementation of the affiliate’s medical strategy within the designated therapeutic area, ensuring the delivery of high-quality scientific and medical activities that support the safe and appropriate use of Astellas products. Working cross-functionally, you will provide strategic medical expertise, build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, generate and translate medical insights into actionable plans, and advance scientific understanding across the product lifecycle. 

Role and Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain deep scientific and medical expertise within the assigned therapeutic area.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the therapeutic area, including the current treatment landscape, unmet medical needs, emerging evidence, and future developments.
  • Provide strategic medical and scientific leadership to support cross-functional initiatives and business objectives.
  • Review and approve promotional materials complying with local and applicable internal/external regulations and/or policies. Build and maintain effective relationships with Key External Experts (KEEs) to advance scientific exchange and insights generation.
  • Deliver high-quality medical and scientific education and training to internal stakeholders, ensuring ongoing capability development and scientific excellence.
  • Engage in reactive scientific exchange with healthcare professionals, providing accurate, balanced, and evidence-based medical information in response to unsolicited requests.

Required Qualifications 

  • Background in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in Medical Affairs 
  • Strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle and product commercialization. 
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good understanding of the dynamics of a large corporate environment, with the ability to work effectively within a matrix organization. 
  • Sound knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations, compliance requirements, and ethical standards. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Project management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration skills. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
  • Proactive strategic partnering with different internal functions
  • Full professional fluency in written and spoken English and French.
  • Advanced degree in a health-related scientific discipline (MD, PharmD, PhD, MSc, or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Relevant experience in Women's Health within Medical Affairs environment
