The Opportunity:
As a Platform Engineer – Market Access and Pricing specializing in a specific area of digital expertise, you will play a critical role in advancing our digital initiatives within our agile organization. Our agile operating model is built around two core components: Digital Capability and Digital Execution. Digital Execution focuses on aligning multiple missions with business objectives and facilitating collaboration on a larger scale. Digital Capability, meanwhile, emphasizes the growth and development of individuals within a particular area of expertise. This dual structure allows us to efficiently scale agile practices while maintaining a balance between product development and individual skill enhancement.
In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of market access and pricing-related applications in the commercial domain. As the system owner, you will serve as a liaison between the business and third-party vendors, overseeing the development, deployment, and integration of software platforms that support our business processes and operations. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the relevant platforms. The goal is to ensure these platforms are optimized to meet business objectives, enhance efficiency, and drive growth. You will be at the forefront of implementing innovative solutions and will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in your field.

Key Activities for this role:
- Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of project goals, requirements, and constraints. Facilitate meetings and discussions to gather feedback and consensus.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business and Digital X to define the strategy and roadmaps for the systems in your scope.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, goals, and objectives. With help from a Business Analyst, analyze business processes and workflows to identify improvement opportunities and define requirements for solutions.
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications that guide the development of software applications, systems, or processes. Ensure that these specifications meet both the business needs and technical standards.
- Work with digital and software development teams, both internal and on the vendor side, to design solutions that fulfill business requirements. Evaluate potential technical solutions for feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business objectives.
- Assist in project management tasks, such as planning, scheduling, and tracking progress. Ensure that projects stay on track to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Extensive experience as a platform/system owner at a life science company.
- Substantial knowledge, expertise, and recent experience in business analysis, technical analysis, or a related area, demonstrating a track record of bridging business needs with technical solutions.
- Proven track record of delivering significant procurement-led initiatives within a global matrix organization in Agile methodology, DevOps, CI/CD principles and practices.
- Good understanding of information technology, software development life cycles, and architectural frameworks. Familiarity with programming languages, databases, and software development tools is beneficial.
- Precision in documenting requirements, specifications, and project details to ensure clarity and alignment with objectives.
Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
Additional Information:
- This is a permanent, full-time position.
- Position is based in Warsaw, Poland.
- This position follows our hybrid working model. Role requires a blend of home and a minimum of 1 day per month in our Warsaw office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
