The Opportunity:

As the Workforce Learning & Development Strategy Lead, you will design and execute Astellas' global learning strategy, driving impactful development programs that align with business objectives. This role involves influencing stakeholders, fostering innovation, and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions for employees at all levels. You will lead complex initiatives, evaluate program effectiveness, and leverage cutting-edge learning technologies to build organizational capabilities and support a culture of continuous growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the design, delivery, and improvement of high-impact learning solutions, including professional development for the general population and high-potential development at career transition points.
  • Drives the Astellas global learning approach and strategy to support the overall business strategy and respond to external trends, internal needs, and competitive pressures.
  • Defines, develops, and implements learning frameworks and solutions for all organizational levels to grow individual capabilities.
  • Evaluates the impact of learning programs to demonstrate value to senior leadership and business areas.
  • Develops effective learning solutions in coaching, feedback, onboarding, manager development, mentoring, and other key development moments.
  • Implements a learning and development approach that utilizes the latest learning technologies, innovative methods, and best practices.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in talent development, learning, or organizational development roles.
  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and digital learning tools.
  • Expertise in instructional design, adult learning principles, and a variety of learning methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience in data-driven decision-making and resource management.
  • Relevant certifications in coaching or talent assessment (e.g., CliftonStrengths, MBTI, Hogan, DiSC).

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) or equivalent.

Additional Information:

  • This is a permanent, full-time position.
  • Position is based in the United Kingdom.
  • This position follows our hybrid working model. Role requires a blend of home and a minimum of 1 day per quarter in our local office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
