The Opportunity:
This role will mainly focus on preparation and review of the EMEA/ABV regional consolidated accounts. You will be required to supervise the work processes of team members to support the preparation of the regional consolidated accounts and provide advice and business support on IFRS technical accounting considerations. You will also, lead and provide support for internal and external audit procedures and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing monthly and quarterly management packs showing consolidated figures.
- Preparing the annual financial statements and explaining the often-complex group transactions to other departments, the board, or external auditors.
- Preparing detailed analyses of transactions, investigating fluctuations in numbers at a high-level, and reporting to those charged with governance.
- Advise/support on complex technical accounting treatments required for unusual business transactions.
- Business partner entities on technical accounting and group month-end close procedures.
- Drive and develop good practice and continuous improvement with the team and wider finance community.
- Continuous personal development through business curiosity and professional technical learning and emerging external and internal topics.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Qualified accountant in group reporting role with excellent financial reporting skills and a high level of expertise in the process of consolidation (subsidiaries, equity accounting of associates, and consideration of investments, including carrying out complex calculations, such as goodwill on acquisition).
- Excellent collaboration skills, working with the auditors (internal and external), thus needing to display excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- There are often tight deadlines and so strong drive is essential to work regularly under pressure, able to take ownership when processes deviate as well as when operate as expected and holding others to high standards and ownership to achieve deadlines and quality standard.
- SAP BPC expert user.
- Excel modelling/reporting writing/analysis.
- Conversational and business English.
Education:
- BS/BA in Finance/Accounting/Economics
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA
Additional Information:
- This is a permanent, full-time position.
- This position is located in the UK.
- This position follows our hybrid working model. Role requires a blend of home and a minimum of 1 day per quarter in our UK office. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
