Purpose & Scope

  • The Head of Global Brand Program Management provides strategic and operational leadership for program management activities supporting pre-POC and post-POC assets and marketed brands across VALUE Delivery Brand Strategy.
  • The role ensures consistent, high-quality execution of global brand strategies through integrated program management, cross-functional collaboration and agile ways of working.
  • This position partners closely with Global Brand Strategy, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and regional teams to deliver VALUE to patients, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders worldwide, while safeguarding the independence and integrity of Medical Affairs.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead global execution of brand strategies across the asset lifecycle, ensuring timely, high-quality, and compliant delivery.
  • Partner with senior brand, medical, and market access leaders to align strategy, planning, and operations globally.
  • Build and lead a high-performing Global Program Management organization focused on efficiency, innovation, and accountability.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across global, regional, and priority market teams using agile ways of working.
  • Ensure effective governance and delivery of Benefit Risk Operations in line with policies and regulations.
  • Act as a senior stakeholder and external representative, strengthening partnerships across the industry.
  • Champion ethical leadership and ensure Medical Affairs independence is maintained at all times.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent required.
  • Extensive and demonstratable progressive leadership experience in global Commercial, Medical Affairs, and/or Development roles within pharma or biotechnology.
  • Extensive global program/project management experience, including strategy, budgeting, operations, and resource planning.
  • Proven experience aligning strategy and execution across Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial functions.
  • Strong background working in complex, highly matrixed, multicultural global organizations.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience in a highly regulated industry.
  • In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines (e.g., IFPMA, PhRMA, FDA, EMA, PMDA, ACCME, OIG).
  • Portfolio-level or above-brand experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence global matrix teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working across multiple countries, regions, and cultures.
  • Prior experience at regional and/or affiliate level.
