The Opportunity:
As the Head of Medical Affairs, Regional Brand Strategy EST-M, you will be the central medical liaison between Brand Teams and the EMLT & EMMALT. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution of medical initiatives across the EST-M region and its affiliates. Your role involves supporting the global brand strategy while collaborating with key stakeholders to drive scientific engagement, medical education, evidence generation, and internal training, all in accordance with regional business priorities.
You will partner closely with Brand Co-Leads, who oversee iGBP development and CMP execution, to guarantee that the EST-M medical strategy is consistent with the overarching global vision and effectively addresses regional needs and the local healthcare landscape.

Key Activities for this role:
- Strategic Medical Leadership & Regional Alignment: Act as the primary medical bridge between global/regional/affiliate brand teams and medical/cross-functional leadership, ensuring strategic alignment and bi-directional communication for MA brand strategies.
- Driving iGBP & CMP Execution with Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead the development and execution of the iGBP and CMP in the region, aligning with global and affiliate objectives while partnering with Brand Co-leads to support product launches, lifecycle management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensuring Medical Affairs Execution & Scientific Excellence: Oversee the implementation of CMP and other MA activities, proactively manage project risks, and support regional evidence generation strategies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration & External Engagement: Partner with VALUE Creation/Delivery, engage with KEEs, HCPs, patient advocacy groups, regulatory agencies, and payers to integrate medical insights and drive scientific exchange.
- Compliance & Governance Oversight: Ensure adherence to all medical, legal, and regulatory requirements within the region, proactively engaging with Legal and Compliance for guidance and representing Medical Affairs in relevant compliance committees.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Solid experience in the Pharma industry and in Medical Affairs.
- Strong expertise in the medical sciences, clinical development, medical program design including experience in designing, executing, and reporting of clinical trials.
- Experience in managing budgets with demonstrated ability to apply proactive risk management on budget and timelines.
- A demonstrated commitment to the development of staff within the function and the achievement of high-performance standards.
- Proven leadership capability in aligning medical strategies with corporate goals and providing critical business shaping insights.
- A good understanding of the dynamics of a large corporate environment; comfortable with matrix reporting lines.
- Excellent verbal and written communications and presentation skills.
- Fluent in written and verbal business English.
Education/Qualifications:
- Medically qualified, MD or equivalent.
- Postgraduate qualification in relevant Therapy Area(s).
- Specialist registration or equivalent.
- GMC license to practice or equivalent.
Additional Information:
- This is a permanent, full-time position.
- Location: UK, suitable candidates can be based outside the UK as well.
- This position follows our hybrid working model. Flexibility may be required in line with business need. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
