About This Job:

As a Lead TA Oncology MA-Adriatics & Portugal, you will be responsible for implementing the medical strategy (Core Medical Plan) within the designated therapeutic area at the affiliate level by coordinating and executing medical / scientific activities to understand the local external environment and data gaps, translate insights into strategies and activities, and ensure the information needs of key stakeholders are fulfilled to help ensure the safe and appropriate use of Astellas products.

Key Activities for this role:

  •  Offer strategic medical and scientific expertise for all affiliate Medical Affairs deliverables and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Lead through influence by building and maintaining integrated partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring MA activities address local needs and advance the medical/scientific understanding of Astellas products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Engage external stakeholders to promote understanding of the science behind development compounds, the safe and effective use of Astellas products, and relevant disease states.
  • Collaborate closely with affiliate brand teams and other internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure all affiliate MA activities are valuable, scientifically valid, clinically important, and delivered on time and within budget.
  • Deep scientific & therapeutic area expertise, strategic medical planning & execution, proactive stakeholder engagement & education, data generation & insight integration, and collaborative, compliant cross-functional partnering.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Solid experience in the Pharma industry and products within the designated therapeutic area.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal provisions in the field of promotion (Act on Pharmaceutical Law, Code of Ethics & Compliance)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build trust and honesty.
  • Monitoring and reacting to market signals and changes in competition, market shares, etc.
  • Highly developed planning, work organization and time management skills.

Educations:

  • Master’s degree in health-related Science or equivalent.

Additional Information:

  • This is a permanent full-time position.
  • This position follows our hybrid working model. Role requires a blend of home and minimum 1 day per quarter in our Portugal office. Flexibility may be required in line with business need. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
