The Opportunity:
As Astellas embarks on an exciting global transformation journey, this is an opportunity to join a team of Transformation Specialists working on the most strategic initiatives across the company.
In this role, you will work with Transformation Managing Principals and Principals on one or more strategic initiatives within a CxO Function. Lead significant workstreams of a large strategic initiative or a small strategic initiatives. Supports the Transformation Office leadership team in the development and building of critical transformation capabilities for the successful execution of Astellas’ transformation agenda. Coaches more junior members of the team.
The position is based in Warsaw, Poland.

Key Activities for this role:
- Work with Transformation Managing Principals and Principals, supports in the identification and scoping of transformation opportunities that contribute to the delivery of our CSP goals.
- Work with Transformation Managing Principals and Principals on one or more strategic initiatives within a CxO Function (or enterprise-wide as needed).
- Lead significant workstreams of a large strategic initiative or small strategic initiatives, manage all resources involved (people and non-payroll budget).
- Support in the identification and building of coalition of key stakeholders and sponsors to help deliver such strategic initiatives.
- Take an active role in the coordination with other transformation initiatives to ensure. alignment and in the delivery to initiatives targets, flagging deviations prior to them occurring where needed.
- Support the Transformation Office leadership team in the development and building of one or more transformation capabilities.
- Support the Transformation Office leadership team in the development and execution of the Transformation Office strategy.
- Coach other junior team members globally as required.
- Work in accordance with Transformation Office standards.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Extensive transformation execution experience with a proven track record of delivering transformational change initiatives within complex organizations.
- Equivalent experience of a Consulting Senior Manager of a management consulting organization.
- Advanced application of Lean and Six Sigma – Green Belt or Black Belt (LSS GB/BB)
- Training/Facilitation - experience in facilitating or training Associates on Lean Six Sigma methodology
- Business Process Management (BPM) - expertise in process modeling (BPMN 2.0), process architecture, and taxonomy design (e.g., Adonis, Signavio, Appian, ARIS)
- Automation & Digital Enablement - identification and evaluation of automation opportunities (RPA, workflow, OCR, AI/ML)
- Data & Analytics - strong command of data analysis tools & experience with statistical software (Minitab, JMP) for deeper analysis
- Project & Change Management skills - hands-on experience in leading cross-functional improvement or transformation projects
- People manager experience (Direct Reportee or Project Teams)
- Good sense of both the strategic context for Astellas as well as the operational challenges of executing strategy well.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams or small initiatives simultaneously and deliver results within specified timelines and budgets.
- Strong change management skills, consistent past delivery of varied types of projects in relevant areas of the business.
- Ability to recognize complex situations and use multiple formal and informal methods to find solutions, as well as the networking and influencing skills to drive change in senior and mid-level leaders.
- Ability to present complex issues to top management and contribute to discussions in order to drive decision-making.
- Proven experience in driving change and managing resistance within an organization.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical or medical devices industry is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and digital transformation trends is highly desirable.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- A master's degree is preferred.
Additional Information:
- This is a permanent, full-time position.
- The position is based in Warsaw, Poland.
- This is a permanent role based in our Global Capability Centre in Warsaw, Poland and hybrid working with the expectation for some office presence. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
