Location and Working Environment

  • This position is hybrid and will require you to be onsite 2 days per week in our Milan, Italy office.

Purpose & Scope 

  • The Brand Manager is responsible for leading the strategic and operational execution of the brand in the local market, ensuring alignment with EMEA strategy and maximizing business and patient impact. 
  • Oversees the full brand lifecycle, from insight generation to performance delivery, guiding cross-functional teams and engaging key stakeholders to drive market success.

Role and Responsibilities 

  • Generate and leverage local market insights, opportunities, risks, and customer needs as a core member of the EMEA brand co-creation team, contributing to the development of the rolling brand plan and ensuring recommendations address investment and divestment opportunities, asset transitions, launch excellence, and performance excellence.
  • Represent and champion the EMEA Brand Plan within the Affiliate, developing and executing the local operational Brand Plan through the adaptation and localization of EMEA initiatives and materials to meet market needs.
  • Serve as the local brand subject matter expert, leading the cross-functional brand team and maintaining strong collaboration with Field Force, Medical, Business & Market Insights, Market Access, and other key stakeholders to drive brand success.
  • Build and manage relationships with key local customers and KOLs to generate insights, support service development, and provide critical local input into market access initiatives and other strategic projects.
  • Partner with the Business & Market Insights function to develop country brand forecasts, co-create brand content in line with Affiliate regulatory requirements, and ensure effective training and adoption by the Field Force.
  • Ensure all local marketing channels and activities are aligned with Therapeutic Area and Brand strategies and approved through the appropriate governance processes, while co-creating KPIs with the Commercial Director and EMEA Brand team and leading delivery of agreed brand performance objectives.

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of industry, regulatory, and governmental requirements, with the ability to assess how regulatory and policy developments impact the healthcare marketplace, brand strategy, patient care pathways, reimbursement, and payer approaches.
  • Recognized brand subject matter expert with the ability to position the brand effectively within the local market, leveraging market research, customer insights, and a strong local network to identify opportunities and create competitive advantage.
  • Able to interpret and integrate multiple data sources, including market, financial, and customer data, to generate actionable insights, build a strategic view of the market, and communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.  
  • Balances strategic thinking with operational execution, demonstrating strong project management capabilities, a solid understanding of sales organizations and commercial models, and a comprehensive appreciation of the impact of commercial activities in the market.
  • Highly credible and influential with internal and external stakeholders, exercising sound judgement, political awareness, and the ability to challenge constructively while adapting communication and approach to the needs of different audiences.
  • Collaborative and co-creative role model with excellent organizational, problem-solving, and learning agility skills, able to work effectively across functions and geographies, remain open to diverse perspectives, operate fluently in business English (ideally with a second European language), and bring experience working in a global environment.

Benefits
 

Salary Range

Salary information: €57,680 to €82,400 per annum. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to skills, experience, and organisational internal equity considerations
