Astellas’ Global Capability Centres - Overview
Astellas’ Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are strategically located sites that give Astellas the ability to access talent across various functions in the value chain and to co-locate core capabilities that are currently dispersed. Our three GCCs are located in India, Poland and Mexico.
The GCCs will enhance our operational efficiency, resilience and innovation potential, enabling a timely response to changing business demands.

Location and Working Environment
This position is located in Warsaw, Poland.
This position is hybrid and will require you to be onsite 2 days per week.

Role and Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously enhance analytics and data science solutions, aligning to business strategy, patient value objectives, and evolving organizational needs.
- Translate business challenges into actionable analytical frameworks, models, dashboards, and AI/ML solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
- Oversee end-to-end operationalization of data science products, including automation, model deployment, stakeholder adoption, and ongoing performance monitoring.
- Establish and maintain data governance standards, quality controls, documentation, and scalable processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define KPIs, deliver data storytelling, manage stakeholder engagement, and identify opportunities for efficiency, cost optimization, and innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in data analysis or data science roles
- Deep expertise in Python, R, SQL, statistical modeling, machine learning and AI/ML concepts, with experience operationalizing analytical solutions into business workflows.
- Proven ability to lead analytical initiatives, manage stakeholders, and translate technical findings into clear, actionable business insights.
- Strong analytical capability with experience in BI tools such as QlikSense, Tableau, and/or Power BI, as well as data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling concepts.
- Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset with a collaborative, innovative, and solutions-oriented approach focused on increasing value to patients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical capability with experience in BI tools such as QlikSense, Tableau, and/or Power BI, as well as data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling concepts.
- Experience leveraging advanced analytics, Generative AI, PySpark, or Databricks to drive scalable data solutions.
- Exposure to healthcare, pharmaceutical, or consulting environments with measurable business impact.
- Experience designing logical and physical data models, including star schema, snowflake schema, and data marts.
- Fluency in communicating complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholder groups across business and technology functions.
