Astellas’ Global Capability Centres – Overview

Astellas’ Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are strategically located sites that give Astellas the ability to access talent across various functions in the value chain and to co-locate core capabilities that are currently dispersed. Our three GCCs are located in India, Poland and Mexico.

The GCCs will enhance our operational efficiency, resilience and innovation potential, enabling a timely response to changing business demands.

Location and Working Environment

This is a permanent role based in our Global Capability Centre in Warsaw, Poland and hybrid working with the expectation for some office presence. Flexibility may be required in line with business need. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office

Purpose & Scope

  • As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you collaborate with diverse stakeholders across multiple geographies to enhance HR processes and services. You ensure consistent service delivery, manage compliance requirements, and continuously improve process efficiency. You take the lead in overseeing service transition projects and play a key role in implementing the Global People Services Model.
  • In this role, you drive the stabilization and adoption of processes and technologies, including HR systems, myHR, Global Payroll, and Global Time. If you are passionate about operational excellence, process optimization, and delivering seamless HR services on a global scale, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the Continuous Improvement strategy and roadmap by supporting cost-saving initiatives, analysing customer feedback, and maintaining the CI opportunity portfolio across processes, systems, and documentation.
  • Support the development and practical application of CI tools and training, including methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Enhance HR processes and services through continuous improvement initiatives, supporting service transitions and the adoption of systems such as myHR, Global Payroll, and Global Time.
  • Collaborate with process owners to review and improve employee lifecycle processes, while contributing to policy and procedure updates to ensure employment law readiness.
  • Act as a Change Champion by strengthening communication channels, minimising disruption, and coaching team members to identify improvement opportunities and build a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certified with practical knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong IT proficiency across Microsoft Office, SharePoint, LMS, and HRIS platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of core HR processes, including Compensation, Benefits, and Performance Management.
  • Experience in HR process design, employee administration, and managing HR service delivery projects within multinational environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with familiarity in project management tools and a solid understanding of the full HR lifecycle and employment law readiness.
