Astellas’ Global Capability Centres - Overview
Astellas’ Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are strategically located sites that give Astellas the ability to access talent across various functions in the value chain and to co-locate core capabilities that are currently dispersed. Our three GCCs are located in India, Poland and Mexico.
The GCCs will enhance our operational efficiency, resilience and innovation potential, enabling a timely response to changing business demands.

Location and Working Environment
This is a permanent role based in our Global Capability Centre in Warsaw, Poland and hybrid working with the expectation for some office presence. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.

Purpose & Scope
- At Astellas, we work with external partners (vendors) to deliver high quality clinical research. We are looking for a Partner Management Lead who understands clinical trial processes and enjoys working across teams, systems, and vendors.
- Lead vendor (partner) management for business and operational activities
- Ensure smooth processes for contracts, budgets, systems, training, and quality
- Support the Clinical Operations Unit in line with Astellas standards and strategy
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage day to day relationships with vendors and internal teams
- Support outsourcing activities from planning to steady state delivery
- Ensure vendors follow Astellas processes, quality, and compliance rules
- Track budgets vs. actual spend and identify cost saving opportunities
- Act as the main contact for vendor questions on resources, systems, and processes
- Set up and track vendor KPIs and performance metrics
- Manage contracts and purchasing activities in ARIBA (myContract / myBuy)
- Coordinate invoice reviews and ensure timely approvals
- Maintain SharePoint and internal information sites for the team
- Support meetings, communication, and operational improvements
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in pharmaceutical or CRO environments
- Good understanding of clinical research and trial processes
- Confidence working independently and managing multiple priorities
- Experience working with external vendors and internal stakeholders
- Comfortable with budgets, contracts, and operational systems
- High attention to detail and follow up
- Clear and professional communication skills in English
- Focus on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement
- University degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ARIBA or similar procurement systems
- Knowledge of eTMF / TMF processes
- Experience supporting audits, inspections, or CAPAs
