Location and Working Environment
This is a permanent role based in Warsaw, Poland and hybrid working with the expectation for some office presence. Flexibility may be required in line with business need. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.

Purpose & Scope
- Is responsible for providing multi-country case management support to employees and managers which have been escalated by the HR Service Delivery Team.
- Will provide multi-country policy expertise and professional HR knowledge to support and educate leaders, managers, and associates on all People topics. This role support all customer groups within the assigned country/ies.
- Is responsible for resolving employee relations issues, support and advise leaders on HR-related matters &policies.
- Is responsible for the delivery of Case Management (i.e. underperformance, disciplinary, grievance and sickness absence), business changes, in-country projects, and cyclical HR processes on behalf of Global HR Business
- Is responsible for delivering a legally compliant HR service in line with identified needs.
- Is responsible for providing data and insights on the volume of activity, trends, issues, concerns, and success stories.
- Will report to People Partner Cluster Lead and will work closely across the broader HR function and directly with the business.
Role and Responsibilities
Compliance & Ethics
- Promote a strong compliance culture across all regions, ensuring “Integrity in Action" is embedded in all activities.
- Lead by example to uphold ethics and compliance within HR, challenging non-compliant behaviors.
- Ensure adherence to company policies on ethics, compliance, and interactions with HCPs, HCOs, and POs.
- Employee Relations & Advisory
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on employee relations matters and policy interpretation.
- Manage and resolve escalated employee relations cases, identifying legal and compliance risks and partnering to mitigate them.
- Monitor trends in employee relations issues to proactively address risks and improve practices.
- Stay current with employment law and escalate complex cases when appropriate.
HR Projects & Business Change- Lead and support end-to-end business change initiatives (e.g., restructures) in collaboration with HRBPs and SMEs.
- Manage multiple HR and in-country projects, ensuring delivery against timelines while identifying risks, dependencies, and overlaps.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR services and processes.

HR Processes & Operations- Support the delivery of cyclical HR processes (e.g., talent, performance, reward) in partnership with HRBPs and CoEs.
- Ensure global/EMEA HR solutions are effectively adapted to local requirements.
- Execute HR activities beyond shared services scope as needed.
Collaboration & Ways of Working- Build strong relationships with HRBPs, CoEs, and key stakeholders to deliver effective HR support.
- Work collaboratively across HR teams, taking a proactive and self-driven approach.
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance HR service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent.
- Proven work experience as People Partner or similar role.
- Experience in managing high risk employment-related cases from intake to investigation to resolution.
- Proven success partnering and collaborating with stakeholders’ cross-functionally and at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to exercise sound judgement based on policies, procedures, practices, and risk factors.
- Proven experience and function as a natural collaborator who is authentic, transparent and aligns with the Astellas values and code of conduct.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to inspire trust and confidence and effectively influence the decision-making process
- Self-starter and ability to manage a workload of varying complexity to a high standard.
- Experience across core HR functions (e.g. Compensation, Benefits, Performance Management, etc.) with specific experience in HR process design, transaction support and employee administration.
- Fluent in Polish and English, fluency in German would be a plus.
- Personal computer skills, including MS Office and Outlook.
