Location and Working Environment
This position is hybrid and will require you to be onsite once per quarter in our Bourne office, UK.

- In this exciting role, you'll ensure seamless patient access to Astellas Precision Medicine products by leading exceptional account management and executing tailored plans with your team. You’ll drive business growth, optimise sales, expand market share, and hit profitability targets across the region.

Role and Responsibilities
- Embedding a strong Compliance Culture across all areas of the business, ensuring that Integrity in Action is actively applied to every initiative. You’ll be ensuring adherence to Astellas policies related to Ethics and Compliance standards. You’ll be maintaining excellent knowledge of, and ensuring compliance with, relevant country codes of conduct, along with Astellas company standards.
- Enabling all eligible patients to access Astellas therapeutic options, driving the development of Astellas Precision Medicine business within your accounts. You’ll be optimising sales, market share, and other local targets. With a deep understanding of the patient journey, you’ll build awareness of patient conditions and issues, focusing on patient care and outcomes.
- Solid tumour, malignant hematology and/or neurology Key Account Management .
- Previous experience working with diagnostics within the cancer arena.
- Ensure seamless patient access at the account level and provide in-label education to stakeholders, including technical aspects of the therapeutic area, products, and diagnostics. Building and maintaining trusting relationships with HCPs will be key, prioritising the most critical to Astellas while continuously improving customer service and optimising awareness of Astellas and its brands.
Continued Role and Responsibilities:
- By understanding account infrastructure and stakeholder relationships, you’ll plan, implement, and optimise outcomes. You’ll gather and analyse customer, account, and territory data to create high-quality, tailored plans, ensuring effective resource allocation for the best results.
- Developing cross-functional plans for accounts, managing risks and actions to ensure success. Driving local market access activities, you’ll ensure full access to Astellas brands, aligned with pricing and reimbursement strategies. You’ll also ensure that Astellas brands are integrated into treatment guidelines and protocols. Additionally, you’ll identify and drive changes to diagnostic guidelines to enable product success.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure customer needs are met by the right person, translating affiliate strategies into aligned local actions that drive brand performance. You’ll ensure all local plans and messaging are consistent with the overall brand strategy. By sharing best practices, data, and insights, you'll help generate new opportunities and gain a competitive edge in your territory. Additionally, you’ll support the development of affiliate plans, activities, and projects as needed.
- Maintaining excellent knowledge of Astellas product data, disease states, medical insights, competitor information, as well as regulatory developments and internal policies. You’ll also actively participate in training programs to stay up-to-date and continuously improve your expertise.
- You’ll attend internal and external business meetings, seminars, sales conferences, and other events, which may involve overnight stays and regular travel. You’ll maintain strong IT skills to effectively use company communication and reporting systems, as well as relevant Microsoft Office programs like Excel for monitoring sales and performance.
- You’ll also take on additional tasks as needed, such as participating in task forces or liaising with other departments. Investing time in your own personal development will be a priority, along with taking on any other duties reasonably required by the business.
- Demonstrating personal accountability and fully complying with the Astellas Group Code of Conduct, policies, procedures, and applicable laws, including the ABPI and EFPIA Codes of Practice, Healthcare Compliance policies, and SOPs.
- Proactively clarifying and seeking guidance as needed, raising concerns in a timely manner with your manager, and referencing the Ethics and Compliance Team or Helpdesk when necessary.
- Undertaking and complying with mandatory Ethics and Compliance training and refresher updates to ensure ownership, understanding, and accountability, completing all training on time.
- Being aware of and complying with the Astellas Way, Competences, HR policies, procedures, and guidelines, in line with expected values and behaviors.
