The Opportunity:

Due to internal movement, an opportunity for a full time, permanent medical science Liaison role has become available within the medical affairs team. This role will report directly to the Head of Medical.

Your role will be to lead the MSL team. You will have 4 direct reports across eastern Australia and will be covering the specialties of Oncology and women’s health.

The key component of this role is that this is a hybrid role of a MSL covering Sydney territory and leadership.

This role will be based in Sydney, New south Wales and will require you to be able to travel to this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will lead a develop a team of 4 MSL’s.
  • You will be an MSL in your own right and will liaise with KOL’S.
  • Conduct peer-to-peer scientific exchange, whilst staying current with evolving trends.
  • Execute field plans aligned with the company medical plan.
  • Attract, hire, and retain high-performing MSL’s. Provide them with coaching and feedback, create and maintain a collaborative team. environment whilst ensuring team objectives are met.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Extensive experience working in the Pharma Industry.
  • An experienced medical affairs professional, preferably as a MSL.
  • Strong people management and demonstrated coaching skills.

Education:

  • Doctoral degree (MD, PhD in health-related science or PharmD).

Additional information:

  • This is a full time, permanent position.
  • Position is based in Sydney, Australia.
  • This position follows our hybrid working model. Role requires a blend of home and minimum 2 days per week in our Sydney office as well as an infield. This is a hybrid role. Flexibility may be required in line with business need. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
