The Opportunity:

As Medical Scientific Liaison, Ophthalmology, you will be responsible for implementing the medical strategy linked to the Brand Plan by creating scientific relationships with experts and opinion leaders in their therapeutic area.

You will act as a link between the Medical Department, the Business Unit, and Healthcare Providers (HCP) to ensure scientific medical support and advice on our current and future products align with the Company's strategy and Compliance policy.

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure, in response to requests from the HCPs, first-line scientific communication.
  • Identify medical experts and institutional networks (healthcare decision-makers, public health organizations, etc.) in your area of expertise in your region.
  • Put in place, at the request of the medical direction, in partnership with the experts of your region, regional medical operations of non-promotional nature.
  • Train in your fields of expertise the Sales Representatives on the products / therapeutic area entrusted to them (initial and continuous training).
  • Analyze the overall environmental characteristics of the therapeutic area in relation to the regional context.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Solid experience in scientific/medical experience in research-based pharmaceutical industry in the areas of Medical Affairs or Development.
  • Proven experience and deep understanding of Key External Experts (KEEs) and key decision makers within the healthcare sector, with a strong existing network and ability to cultivate new relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of independently coordinating and managing activities to achieve set objectives
  • Excellent ability to adapt communication styles to effectively engage with diverse healthcare providers, ensuring clear, professional interactions with the relevant stakeholders.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience in Ophthalmology or related therapeutic areas.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health-Related Sciences or equivalent, Master’s degree in Sciences, Business Administration or equivalent, or Medical Scientific Liaison studies or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in English and French languages.

Additional information:

  • This is a permanent, full-time position.
  • This position may be based in any location within France.
  • This position is field-based in France and 70% of travel time is expected.
