The Opportunity:
As the Market Access Specialist, you will be reporting directly to the Market Access Lead and be responsible for increasing market access and funding for the Astellas product/brands in Egypt.
Key Activities:
- To support commercial team to achieve sales targets through the successful implementation of well-defined access strategies, tactical account plans and related activities.
- Manage tenders, formulary listing and funding channel overviews to initiate market access planning.
- Analyze and prioritize key access channels and related stakeholders based on potentiality and accessibility.
- Develop viable relationships with relevant key stakeholder to continuously ensure and to expand access for the Brand’s portfolio.
- Negotiate contracts and prices in accordance with the overall sales strategies and all stakeholders.
- Disseminate brand value propositions and strategies to reflect market specific processes and needs.
- Drive accelerated growth through sequenced product enlisting and obtainment of funding.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Proven experience within market access having worked with a global pharmaceutical organization in Egypt.
- Should have Market access experience working with governmental access channels and hospital accounts.
- Thorough knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare market is a must.
- Sound understanding of the Egyptian pharma industry and healthcare system.
- Good written & verbal communication skills; strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to work cross functionally in a global matrix structure.
Preferred Experience:
- Fluent in English & Arabic.
- Collaborative & Proactive in nature.
- Extensive user knowledge of MS Office package (Excel, Power Point).
- Ability to work independently.
Education:
- Minimum Bachelors degree in pharmaceutical science or equivalent.
Additional information:
- This is a permanent, full time position.
- Candidates should be based in Cairo, Egypt.
- This position is field based in Cairo, Egypt with frequent travel up to 20%. Flexibility may be required in line with business need.
