The Opportunity:
As Astellas embarks on an exciting global transformation journey, this is an opportunity to join a team of Transformation Specialists working on the most strategic initiatives across the company.
You will lead one or more strategic initiatives for a Functional area or enterprise-wide. As a senior member of the team, you will also take active leadership in defining and evolving the development and building of critical transformation capabilities for the successful execution of Astellas’ transformation agenda.
This role reports to the Transformation Managing Principal, who reports to the Global Head of the Transformation Office.
Key Activities for this role:
- Working with the Transformation Managing Principal, to identify and scope transformation opportunities that contribute to the delivery of our Corporate Strategic goals.
- Leading one or more strategic initiatives within a CxO Function or enterprise wide as needed.
- Responsible for providing local leadership to local team members as well as ensuring hiring and sustainable talent supply and development within location.
- Leading and manage all resources involved in the strategic initiatives (internal and external).
- Taking active leadership in the development and building of one or more transformation capabilities within the Transformation Office.
- Contributing to the Transformation Office strategy development and execution.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Extensive project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results within specified timelines and budgets.
- Extensive change management skills and experience, consistent past delivery of varied types of projects in relevant areas of the business.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Proven experience in driving change and managing resistance within an organization.
- Extensive experience in transformational leadership with a proven track record of leading global transformational change initiatives within complex organizations.
- Equivalent experience of a Consulting Director of a management consulting organization.
Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or equivalent.
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and delivery of global transformation initiatives within pharmaceutical companies.
