Purpose & Scope
As a Global Pipeline Insights Expert at Astellas, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality insights that support decision-making across our organisation.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining an accurate view of global market conditions for assigned products and therapeutic areas, providing essential market research, forecasting inputs, and competitive intelligence.
Role and Responsibilities
- Deliver day-to-day tasks and responsibilities as defined by the Value Team’s mandate and business objectives.
- Support the Value Team Lead in executing the team’s strategy and objectives.
- Apply your expertise to address and resolve specific business challenges identified by the Value Team, focusing on achieving measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to accomplish prioritised objectives and deliverables.
- Lead global commercial analysis activities for assigned products, providing forward-looking insights and forecasts to advance understanding of relevant markets.
- Develop a deep understanding of the market landscape, including market potential, trends, unmet medical needs, and competitors’ strategies.
- Communicate key business findings and insights to relevant cross-functional stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, engineering, mathematics, decision science, or analytics.
- Extensive experience in forecasting, market research, competitive intelligence, and/or decision sciences within the pharmaceutical industry or a consultancy focused on biopharmaceuticals.
- Understanding of the role of a global function within broader enterprise strategy.
- Previous experience in a global role or working with cross-functional teams across different regions/markets.
- Highly coachable and thrives in an environment of continuous growth.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a global mid-cap or large-cap pharmaceutical company.
- MBA.
